Rubaiya Yasmin Remu, an honors second year student of Bangla department of Rangpur Carmichael College, has been abducted and killed. The incident took place at Nilphamari Sadar on Monday (March 1).
Remu's family said that he used to do tuition as the college was closed for a long time. As usual, on Monday (March 1) morning, Remu was going to do tuition on foot from Kachukata in his home Nilphamari Sadar. At that time, two young men named Faisal and Rizvi blocked his way and tried to take him to Jaldhakar on a motorcycle.
After a while, the family members came to know that Remu fell from the moving motorcycle and was seriously injured. Later, the family members found out who or who took Remu to Rangpur Medical College Hospital and the doctor declared him dead.
Remu's brother said that Faisal had been harassing Remu for a long time. When the family members were informed about the matter, he protested and had a quarrel with Faisal. Due to this, Remu was picked up today and brutally pushed from the motorcycle and killed.
The accused Faisal is the son of Abdullah Hossain of Kachukata Union and his friend Rizvi is the son of Zahidul Hossain Master of the same area. They were both neighbors of Remu.
An unnatural death case was filed at Nilphamari police station and preparations were underway to file a case at Rangpur Kotwali and Jaldhaka police stations.
